LOB insert in CLP?

Can I insert a image file as LOB column value in CLP? I checked the SQL ref.
but to no avail. I feel a little disappointed. I think a method like

insert into tblname(LOBcol) values ( LOBFILE(filnamestring))

maybe very useful.
Are there some ways to achieve that?

If the answer is not, why add a function or procedure into db2? seems not
difficult...

It would indeed be nice to have such a function. Unfortunately, it is not
yet available.

(1) You could do something like this:

INSERT INTO t VALUES ( BLOB(x'12af32') )

Granted, entering LOBs this way is a bit painful.

(2) You can use IMPORT or LOAD.
