End of service for V7.2??

Can someone please verify that the end of service for DB2 is the 30th
September 2004? ie 2 days ago!

From the DB2 support web site
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview...id=swg21168270, it states
that the EOS is 30/09/2004. However if you look at the announcement letter
(http://www-306.ibm.com/fcgi-bin/comm...an&subtype=ca&
appname=xldata&htmlfid=897/ENUS903-185) clearly states that the Enterprise
Edition has been extended to 30th April 2005, based on a correction made on
November 7th 2003, based on the program number 5648-D48.

So which date is it? 30th September 2004 or 30th April 2005??
Thanks
Fred

Sorry, the withdrawal date is/was Sept. 30 2004 - the April 30th date
only applies to the following 2 products:

Warehouse Manager for z/OS(R) and OS/390 V7.2 5655-H34
DB2 OLAP Starter Kit V7.1 EOS 5648-D48

Sean,

But....

DB2 UDB Enterprise Edition 5648-D48
DB2 UDB Enterprise Edition for Windows(1) 5648-D48

Although this is the same program number as the OLAP, the withdrwawal
notice does not make a differentiation. Hence I believe that I can argue
that the EOS for Enterprise Edition is 30th April 2005!!

Hi Fred,

Well, you could try ... but since the two line items you listed are
included in the announcement letter under the section that says

"IBM withdraws support effective September 30, 2004, for the following
products:"

and the only two products mentioned by name were the one's I listed,
you might have a tough sell. Realize that is a program number,
not an IBM part number.

Best of luck!
