Database release level a.00

[DB2SQL]

When I executed the DB2 command LIST DB DIRECTORY I got the Database
release level a.00.

I am getting same result using the sqledgne - Get Next Database
Directory Entry and related API-s.

Can somebody tell me what it means, if it is right value, or confirm
that it is a bug?

The DB2 UDB version is 8.1.6. Several colleagues around me are getting
the same result.

release level 0x0a00 is version 8 - both 8.1 and 8.1
release level 0x0900 is version 7 - both 7.1 and 7.2

This is for internal workings only, and is used to gauge if the database
needs to be migrated for example.
