DB2 hangs...(7.2)

P: n/a
Hello,

How to resolve and log a database problem?

For instance I have the following "Lock" situation:
- if I connect to a db2 instance (e.g. database1)
"db2 connect to database1 user dbadmin using xxxx"
and query the database
"select * from table1"
nothing happens....

I can press ctrl-c and a result with 0 hits is diaplayed.
after running db2 force applications all,db2stop,db2start
everything looks fine...

BUT how can I get information what happend?
What log files and commands can i use to analyse this problem further?

Please help ! - Thanks in advance

Chances are there's nothing in the logs. Lock-waits don't get logged,
you need to see them when they are happening to find out which
application is causing your lock-wait.
