export IBM UDB (7.2) database into DB2 Mainframe

Hi

I am trying to export a database and its data from UDB 7.2 or 8.1 to
Mainframe DB2. Is this possible? The last time I did this, i ended
up having to write insert statements for each row. Is there a
utilitity to accomplish this?

Thanks

If you select the data on DB2 LUW and pipe the output to a file
without headers (see CLP options), the data will be in fixed column
postions, and can be ftp'ed and then loaded with the DB2 mainframe
load utility. Obviously you will have to manually create the control
cards to specify where each column starts and ends. Not sure about how
null data would be handled (null columns appear as a "-" on the select
statements output).
