DB2 UDB 64-bits

I was asked to install db2 udb workgroup edition (version 7.2) 64-bits on
AIX. But I cannot find that we have a CD with that software. Only Enterprise
Edition.

Is it correct that you have to install Enterprise (Server) Edition if you
want 64-bits DB2 UDB (both version 7 and 8) on AIX ? And that Workgroup
(Server) Edition doesn't come in 64-bits, only 32 ?

That's correct.

You are aware of the restrictions with 64-bit in V7, right? i.e. 32 bit
clients can't talk to a 64 bit server, etc.

Thanks! I was not aware of these restrictions, so we have to wait until we
are on version 8 until we go for 64-bit.... hopefully before the end of this
year.

I'd go to version 8 by the end of September as DB2 V7 goes out of support on
September 30.

Cheers,
