There is a file in the run_dir (~/tivoli/lcf/dat/1/lcf.id), it contains a
string, usually of 28 characters that is used as the key field for Inventory
called COMPUTER_SYS_ID in Inv 4.0 & higher.
Your situation may be caused by a build process that has that file with an
identical string from some sort of clone process. The insert of a record
with the same key field will cause a delete or the existing one. Doesn't
matter which database product you use if that is the cause.
Thanks James for providing this information.

| Hi,
|
| I've a question regarding Tivoli and DB2. I'm not sure about putting the
| question in this group.
|
| In my inventory, I've 633 systems included successfully. But in my DB its
| only 540 systems are there. If I add one more system to my software
| inventory, its overwriting the existing records, not adding another entry.
|
| Please advice or direct me to a place where I can get the help
|
| Thanks
| Shafeek
