Tivoli - News groups?

Hi,

I've a question regarding Tivoli and DB2. I'm not sure about putting the
question in this group.

In my inventory, I've 633 systems included successfully. But in my DB its
only 540 systems are there. If I add one more system to my software
inventory, its overwriting the existing records, not adding another entry.

Please advice or direct me to a place where I can get the help

Thanks

There is a file in the run_dir (~/tivoli/lcf/dat/1/lcf.id), it contains a
string, usually of 28 characters that is used as the key field for Inventory
called COMPUTER_SYS_ID in Inv 4.0 & higher.

Your situation may be caused by a build process that has that file with an
identical string from some sort of clone process. The insert of a record
with the same key field will cause a delete or the existing one. Doesn't
matter which database product you use if that is the cause.

Thanks James for providing this information.
This is FYI only
