IBM DB2 Personal Connect

Can a version 7 middleware be bound to a version 6 database (UDB) ? Or
does the client have to be on the same or lower version than the database ?

DB2 Connect Personal Edition is a product that provides connectivity to
DB2 on the mainframe or AS/400. DB2 V6 on the mainframe should be ok
from a V7 DB2 Connect.
