Some thoughts.
1. Wouldn't the JDBC Type 4 driver run on OSX ??
- After all, it is only a Java app. ??
- And the GUIs are all Java, so wouldn't they just run aswell?
2. You can run Connectix "Virtual PC" (I run XP) on your Mac, if you can take
the inherent performance hit? compatibility wise, I find it great.
Maybe some day DB2 will recognise OSX as a good client.
- I'm very surprised it has taken this long.
And if IBM would like some justification - think of all the DBAs who
regularly log into databases remotely from home, and some us do prefer
to run Macs at home over boring ol' Windows.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but as a last ditch effort I
pose the question to this group...Is there a Runtime client for MacOs X
for DB2 UDB 8.1? I certainly can't find one anywhere but I'm hoping I just
missed something. We have some developers that need Macs for something and
before we get them my boss is trying to determine the viability of them
using the mac alone as opposed to the mac and a windows or linux box.
