db2set running every 10 seconds

Has anyone run into issues of having db2set run by an instance owner process
every 10 seconds.

We are performing auditing and it is showing up literally every 10 seconds.
I have shut down the governor and all event monitors except for
DB2DETAILDEADLOCK and still it persists.

In addition, I have verified that there are no connection via the instance
owner which are persistent.

Just wondering if anyone has run into this. We are currently running v8.1
FP5. This is ocurring on several different machines running both single &
multiple partition databases in 32 & 64 bit.

This behavior did not occur in our v7 databases.

Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that the only way that db2set can be run is
if it is run explicitly. Someone must be issuing the command ... either
via command line or via script.

What's the parent process that executes db2set ?
db2set may be executed by the db2profile (I think that DB2 Performance
Expert adds something to the userprofile, executed by db2profile).

Are you using a cluster manager like Sun Cluster, Veritas Cluster,
HACMP? These checks from these tools could be causing the behavior.
