Sync. remote DB

I need to sync a DB on a remote computer for disaster recovery
purposes only. Because of its dimension I thought to use only
daily (for ex.) Incremental Delta backups. How reliable is this
solution? Do I need to perform a full backup/restore from time
to time?

Is there a similar way, I mean daily incremental delta syncs,
but using TCP/IP?

I can handle a RPO of 1 day or more. So, a mirror solution is too
expensive.

Thanks for any comments.

Have you considered a standby databsae using archive log shipping?
There's an article on the DB2 Developer Domain that goes over this.
good luck,
