SQLSTATE=42602

Hi,

I just completed the installation of DB2 UDB free 1 client version on my
Windows XP Professional pc. When I want to create the sample database, I
receive an error telling me "Jean-Pierre Schnyder is not a correct
authorization id SQLSTATE=42602". This is stange since I recently change my
name in my Windows login profile to JeanPierre, removing any spaces in it. I
am not sure my DB2 is correctly installed and since I am new to DB2 and
would like to learn it, I would appreciate any help to solve this problem.

Thank you !

Hi again,

In fact, the solution was easy: just reboot your pc and you will see
that the DB2 installer silently created a new XP account for the
administratioin of the db. Log on to this account, and then you will
encounter no problem creating the sample database. You can then use
the sample database when you're back to your regular XP user account.
