Faltering at first step in UDB PE installation...

I am in the process of installing UDB PE 8.1 on my XP machine at my
workplace. While installing, at the very first step, it asks for "User
information for DB2 Administration Server" where it asks for "Domain
Name", Username (db2admin) and the passwords. What is the "Domain
Name" that I am supposed to enter? When I enter the Domain name that I
log into (while booting the machine since I am at my workplace), it
says with the error message "User does not have authority to access or
update the user account, user group, and/or computer type information"

TIA
Raquel.

If you leave the domain field blank, then DB2 will use the local machine.
DB2 will create a new account on the local machine if it does not already
exist. You will need Administrator privileges on your local machine for
this.

If you use the Windows domain, the account must already exist in the
domain, or your user ID (i.e. the ID you are using when you run the
install) must have domain administrator privileges.
