So if I would rename this file let's say every day, then keep it for a few
weeks and then delete it.
That would ensure that should something go wrong the data is there but I can
then also control the amount of space used.

This is actually in internal log used for problem determination (not an
evmon file). if you remove it db2 will create a new one at some point.
