DB2 V8 Fix pack 5 on W2K Professional

After install Fixpack 5, the DB2 service fail start automatic when the
server.
The service setting is still automatice startup. Manual start it after is OK

Look in the event viewer it said

The DB2 - DB2 service failed to start due to the folowing error:
The service did not response to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.
Does any one have the same problem?

I solved the same problem installing W2k SP4 +
windows update patches.

My computer already has SP4 installed. The problem does not exist with FP4
or lower.

manualy start the db2 service.

i have the same problem , and the db2diag.log is keeping getting
bigger because the log file logging the errors continuely. my machine
is windows 2000 and SP4 too.

Have you configured the use of files on mapped drives?

Ouch, I thought I solved this problem applying some Windows 2k patches,
but now it happened again on my machine!!!
Hey, IBM guys, is there something wrong in FP5???

Ouch, I thought I solved this problem applying some Windows 2k patches,
