sqldbdir

Hi,
is there any way to recreate manually or by an Exe the file sqldbdir in the
system and local database directory.

My problem is :
i have lost both sqldbdir and want to recatalog the database but this doesnt
work
the catalog command process succesfully but i can't connect since db2 don't
know the name of the subdirectory
where the database resides.

ex :
i have a instance TEST
and a database DB1 under d:\TEST\node0000\sql00001

but i haven't these two files
sqldbdir under \sqllib\test\sqldbdir and d:\TEST\node0000\sqldbdir\sqldbdir
thx in advance

You can use the "on path" syntax in catalog database to specify a
different path than the default.

hi thx for answer,
but that's not what i ask
i know this command but i'll give you a example

imagine on w2000
one instance TEST1 created on d:
so local database directory is on d:\TEST1\node0000\sqldbdir\sqdbdir
and system database directory on \program
files\sqllib\TEST1\sqldbdir\sqdbdir

i create a database DB1 on d: -> db is located on
\d:\test1\node0000\sql00001

now if you rename the rep sql00001 in sql00002

how can you tell to db2 that DB1 is located in d:\test1\node0000\sql00002 ?

You shouldn't rename directories where databases are located.
In the local database directory the old directory name is still present.
I don't think patching this will help you.
