Parallel tasks during DB2 for Z/OS Copy

We are copying over a thousand tablespaces using LISTDEF. The Copy
utility is restricting the parallelism to 6, even though Parallel 20
is specified.

Environment:
Z/OS R1.4 in 64-bit mode
DB2 V7
LPAR has 8GB and 2 Logical processors
Job has Region of 64MB (changing this doesn't seem to make a
difference)

Job output has message:
DSNU397I DSNUBBID - NUMBER OF TAKSS CONSTRAINED BY VIRTUAL STORAGE
DSNU427I DSNUBBID - OBJECTS WILL BE PROCESSED IN PARALLEL
NUMBER OF OBJECTS = 6

If we run multiple jobs instead of a single job, we can half the
elapse time.

Does anyone know how to get the Copy utility to increase the
parallelism?

Please post all replies to the newsgroup.

Thanks in advance,
Norm
