Websphere DB2 Connection problem

We have the following configuration
DB2 8.1 fix Pack 2
Solaris 9
Websphere Portal server 5
JDK 1.4

While installing the product we are facing a problem which seems to be
related to Java connectivity with DB2 through Websphere portal.

/websphere/WebSphere/AppServer/java/bin/native2ascii
.../config/wpconfig.properti
es ../config/wpconfig_ascii.properties
Setting cfg.file.name.original to wpconfig.properties
Setting cfg.file.name to wpconfig_ascii.properties
Buildfile: wpconfig.xml

validate-database-connection-wmm:
[echo] DbDriver == COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
[echo] WmmDbUrl == jdbc:db2:wmmdb
[echo] WmmDbUser == db2inst1
[echo] DbLibrary == /websphere/database/abp/test/db2java.zip
[echo] WpsInstallLocation == /websphere/WebSphere/PortalServer
[java] Could not connect to database
[java] java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver

BUILD FAILED

/websphere/WebSphere/PortalServer/config/wpconfig.xml:144: Java
returned: 2
There is no problem when testing the database connection from a Java
program.

"No suitable driver" means db2 can't find the place where the db2 shared
library, because you use app jdbc driver. There are two solutions:
(1). Use new jdbc driver - universal t4 jcc jdbc driver.
(2). If you still have to use app driver, you need to specify the
$DB2HOME/sqllib/lib in the library path.
