Since we are a .NET shop, and are not using DB2 v8 yet because of bugs and a
seemingly unlimited number of patches to the OS/390 version to make it play
well with UDB, we are holding off on our upgrade to v8. However, I believe
we can get by until then by making UDF calls instead of SP calls.
Thanks,

This is correct; V7 has inadequate .NET support. VB6 may be OK (or it may
not, the DB2 OLE driver is problematic anway). Search back through this NG
for related questions and announcements of .NET providers for DB2 V8.

news:s_****************@bignews5.bellsouth.net... I am running DB2 v7.2.9 (DB2 7.2 FP 11) and have created a VB Class in
VB.NET. This class contains several UDF's and a stored procedure. DB2 has no problem calling the UDF's, but for some reason will not call the
stored procedure. It simply returns the argument I passed with a return code
of 0.
However, when I take the same code and backport it to VB 6, the stored
procedure call works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
