SQL0902C with Kernel 2.4.23

Hello @all,

when upgrading our Intel based server machine from linux kernel 2.4.19
to 2.4.23 db2 refused to connect to one of the databases:

db2inst1@xxx:~> db2 connect to b6
SQL0902C A system error (reason code = "") occurred. Subsequent SQL
statements cannot be processed. SQLSTATE=58005

The other databases were fine. The db2 software (v. 7.2wgux) is running
on a SuSE 8.1 based system. When I switched back to the original 2.4.19
kernel everything was ok again. Might the file system have something to
do with that (XFS in both cases, SuSE patch in 2.4.19, SGI sources in
2.4.23)? Or any other kernel options I didn't notice?

As I still would like to upgrade the kernel I would be grateful for any
information or hints.

Regards,
Dirk
