I've been requested to make a DB2 database, which resides on a Linux
system, accessible to the Web both for data input and query as well
reporting. I need recommendations for both the front end (development of
the screens etc. in the WWW environment) and the reporting ( currently
I'm leaning towards Crystal ) with specialized reports delivered either
over the WWW or E-mail. 4 1629

There are so many choices here, it's really dependent on the skill set
that you have available. You can talk to DB2 in C/C++, VB, ASP, PHP,
Perl ...
Good luck,

I was more thinking along the lines of a screen designer (C/C++, VB,
Perl code extensions if needed) where I could "paint" the screens like
VB or VC (and specifying the appropriate DB2 data resources) and then
let the "system" worry about the details. I know this is a vague
request, but I'll know what I want when I see it.
Sounds like ASP.NET may be what you are looking for then.
