VIEW based on Stored Procedure

Joe
Is it possible to create a VIEW that is (directly or indirectly) based
on a stored procedure?

Hi Joe,

That should work
using a couple of tricks. Post the result when you get it to work :-)
Here is the outline:
You use a table function with embedded SQL. To process the resultset and
return it you need to use CLI or JDBC.
So in a nutshell you call the proc and open the cursor on the resultset
in the initialization call. Close it at final call and fetch in the
iteration.

Care to share what you are trying to do in a borader sense? Maybe there
is a feature requirement here that ought to be logged.

Cheers
Serge
