Hi J.,

Wrote a litte db2jd_SID.ksh:

#!/bin/ksh
su - db2dwp -c "/usr/opt/db2_08_01/bin/db2jstrt 8888"

and than start it via /etc/inittab.

This are the permissions:
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 26664 Aug 01 07:16 db2jstrt
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 67 Mar 05 2003 db2jd_DWP

Hi.

I tried to make a similar script and logged in as the instance owner
to run it (from the command line) - but the result is the same:

#!/bin/ksh
su - marco -c "/usr/lpp/db2_07_01/bin/db2jstrt 25000"

The perissions are as follows:
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 279407 Apr 29 2001
/usr/lpp/db2_07_01/bin/db2jd
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 28006 Apr 29 2001
/usr/lpp/db2_07_01/bin/db2jstrt

I've searched for some documentation for db2jd, but could not find
anything useful - does anyone have an idea where to look?
