How to get rid of dummy entry from System Database Directory

nek
Greetings,

We try to automate database creation via script which gets executed
remotely for a number of servers.

This works fine for most of the servers. However, it occasionally
fails some of them for certain reasons (eg. authorization,
communication down) and results in dummy entry in 'System Database
Directory' as follows:

Database alias =
Database name =
Node name = NDEC4E00
Database release level = a.00
Comment =
Directory entry type = Remote
Catalog database partition number = -1

As you see, the first 2 rows have no values assigned to them. 'list
node directory' does not show node (NDEC4E00) as seen above.

There is NO corresponding entry in 'Local database directory'.

How can I get rid of this dummy entry?

Thank you for your help.

Forgot to mention the platform on which this happened if it helps: DB2
V8.1 + FP2 on W2K.
