Authentication problem

Just installed DB2 UDB 8 on Linux, trying to stop admin server by
excuting "db2admin stop", got error:

SQL22201N: The DB2 administration server failed to authenticate user
"" on the host "et3". Reason code "1".

How to fix this problem.
Thanks.

Did you try logging on as the admin server owner user?

The default owner is dasusr1 if you took the installation default.

So.... you explicitly logged on to this account or you did an su.
incase you did an su, then did you do an 'su' or 'su -'. i am not
sure, but maybe the dash (-) is required.

Got the error message:

SQL22201N: The DB2 administration server failed to authenticate user
"" on the host "et3". Reason code "1".

Doc says reason code "1" is invalid userid or password. Don't know what the problem
might be if you are using the correct userid and password. You might want to try IBM
support.
