390 databases in visio

picked up, again, the unsupported version of visio from
M$ on the memory that it generates diagrams. it works for
the NT databases, but won't get past the userid/password
dialog with 390/v6.1

i'm able to connect to these databases with other ODBC tools,
such as Advanced Query Tool.

has anyone been able overcome this??

thanks,
robert

I suspect that it is looking for catalog tables like on DB2 for
UNIX/WINDOWS/LINUX.

Try using WinSQL, which can also draw diagram of your tables and uses
ODBC. http://www.synametrics.com/winsql
