How to setup custom location for db2 source?

P: n/a

Hi All !

Can you tell me how to setup custom location during installation DB2
Connect on Linux for S/390 and zSeries ?

When I run db2_install every thing go's to
/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/..... location.

I need to install in /opt/apps/IBM/db2/V8.1/.....

because system admin gave us this location.

I was trying to run:

1. db2_instal -d /opt/apps

2. db2_instal -d /apps

It go's in /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/..... anyway.

Can I do some thing with out changing installation script ?????

Regards,

Pavel.

Ah, but did you check /opt/apps or /apps? It should also be there.
Note that DB2 cannot work unless /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1 at least *appears*
to contain DB2 (via symlink).
