Reorg , Runstat and Stored Proc

Once the REORG and RUNSTAT on db2 database tables and indexes is executed, do we need to rebind the stored procedures to attain the performance improvement ?
If required, is there any db2 command which can be used to do the same?

This question if for UDB on LUW. Suppose I take regular database backups of my database Monday: database backup <ts1> Tuesday: Tablespace reorged and imagecopied <ts2> Friday: database restored and roll-forwarded to a timestamp <ts3> on Wednesday. Now my question is: because the entire database is being roll-forwarded, I suppose the...

I've created a system or external trigger on an AS/400 file a.k.a DB2 table. (Note this is an external trigger defined with the ADDPFTRG CL command, not a SQL trigger defined with the CREATE TRIGGER statement.) I've also defined a SQL stored proc, and the trigger is set to call this SP. I've posted the simplified source below. I can...

Apologies for the cross-post, but this truly is a two-sided question. Given the option of creating Looping statements within a stored proc of sql server or in the code-behind of an .net webpage, which would you choose and why? Reason I ask is I created a webpage which essentially runs through a litany of loops to determine which stored...

he brief explanation of the problem is, After DB2 maintenance window performance has gone down, it takes some hours to retrieve the data. We have provided some table spaces to Reorg/Runstat during the maintenance window . After REORG some of the tablespaces, the performance is very slow .This is really strange because no code changes has...

Hi, Does anyone know how to run a reorg job with limited impact to system performance? When my reorg job is running, I cannot see "get utilities" give result entry related to the reorg job and hence I cannot set UTIL_IMPACT_PRIORITY to reorg job. I can make another job runstat command directly with parameter UTIL_IMPACT_PRIORITY for...

Running DB2 9.1 on Redhat Linux 4.1. Storage management indicates that the pages stored in a file based SMS container occupy 7 gig of the total space allocated which is 50gig. I wrote a script to reorg and runstat all the tables in the tablespace but the reorgs are not releasing space to the file system. Is there anything that would cause...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
