Priming the Package Cache ?

Hi,

Is there an easy way re-prime the Package Cache after a
db2stop/db2start ?

i.e We have a Script of captured SQL (containing parm. markers) of our
workload, that we would like to simply run Prepares of , and not
execute.

is there a tool to do this ?

Thanks.

We can use PREP and BIND to do that same . But your program needs to be
an SQC (embedded C SQL).If you do PREP without BINDFILE or BIND the
BIND file the package gets loaded into database. I am not sure if it
gets loaded to package cache ..it may need an execute of application .

Thanks.

We have actually written a very simple little Java/JDBC app. to prep
all the SQL statements in a given file.

Good day, I've been monitoring a DB2 system and noticed a low package cache hit ratio, I calculated it based on the formula in the db2 information center: (1-(db.pkg_cache_inserts/db.pkg_cache_lookups))*100 as you can see below the average (most of the time) of the package cache hit ratio is 30%

Hello! I have noticed that after (sucessfully) executing the command: FLUSH PACKAGE CACHE DYNAMIC the dynamic SQL statement cache is not completely cleared (some of the dynamic SQL statement elements are not reset). For example, looking at the dynamic SQL snapshot I see a certain SQL statement that has been executed a number of times and...
