This is pretty asthetic but we had a change in out DBA and every time we create a new task in the Task Center and set it to notify a contact the From: XXXXX in the message is always his name. Does anyone know how to change it. I know you can edit the name but When a new script is created it is still his name. I would like to know how to change the default. Thanks.

We are running on Win 2003/DB2 V8 FP7a. My question concerns Task Center. I have about 200 tasks created and scheduled in Task Center. We are going to be moving many of the databases from this server to another V8 server and I really, really, really don't want to have to re-key all of these tasks on the new system. The Task Center "export" function seems to only export general task information like the description and type of task,...

I want to have a script that checks that my databases are up and running. I just want the scrip to connect to several databases and check the count of a certain table. I want this script to run every 10 minutes. I know that every night I am taking the database down for backup and they won't be available and the script will fail. I have been looking into the systools tables to see what changes when you make enable/disable a script but...

DB2 9.1 fixpak 2 on Windows I am trying to set up a task in the task center that will run on a daily basis to check for an "issue". To find this "issue", I run a select statement that brings back a count. If the count is something other than zero, then the "issue" exists. Is there a way to run a select statement in the task center, and from the results, mark it as either successful (count of zero was returned) or failure (something other...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
