Just for laughs..

Hi,

some developers seem to have a good sense of humor. The following
was found after (stupid enough) restoring a DB created with FP9a on a
FP8 test-system (DIAGLEVEL=4):

2006-03-17-13.13.47.909513 +060 I54072G437 LEVEL: Info
PID : 22929 TID : 1024 PROC : db2agent (TEST)
INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000 DB : TEST
APPHDL : 0-300 APPID: XXXXXXXX.XXXX.X XXXXXXXXXXX
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, access plan manager, sqlra_compile_v ar, probe:20
RETCODE : ZRC=0x80310004=-2144272380=SQLN N_E_NFOUND
"did not find specified thing in whatever"

Not too bad. It finally led me to the initial mistake AND gave me a
refreshing laugh. Thank you guys! ;-)

There you go.. And some people think we should clean these up and be
"more professional" *chuckle*

Presumable the SQLCODE -204 that goes with it filled in the blanks?

Cheers

It did. And there was more _really_ usefull stuff in the db2diag.log as
well. But this particular one was just funny (but didn't came alone, as
you have mentioned)! ;-)

My favorite was the ZRC=0xDEADBEEF. That was back in V5 days, but it
always made me chuckle. :-)

For what it's worth, I wrote the original PEP 318. I probably wasn't qualified, but I just wanted a nice simple way to declare class methods without having to repeat the function name. After submitting it to BDFL for approval, more work was needed and the discussion of PEP 318 on python-dev increased rapidly. It was evident that I was in...

I'm still relativey new to stylesheets, so I'm hoping that the way I'm going about things can be seriously improved upon, i.e . I just haven't undersood something obvious about the 'cascading' nature of the coding, which I believe concerns the way attributes relate to one another when 'nested'... I think I can illustrate the nature of the...

Hello, I'm studying a book on VB.net Win apps, and I'm reading a section on events and delegates and raising events. Is it just me, or is this not just subs dressed up as something else? I mean, for one, delegates point to subs, so when you call a delegate, why not just call the sub dierectly and not bother adding the extra code...

I tried for an hour to find some reference to concrete information on why this particular inheritance implementation is a bad idea, but couldn't. So I'm sorry if this has been answered before. Here's the scenario: We have a base class with all virtual functions. We'll call this the Animal class. We then make two classes Fish and Bird...

Ahahahaha.. Lets see if I get this Demented Lintard reasoning right. Vista is a failure becuase after 300 days after it's release, it only has 7.5% of the OS market while the Lintard OS, is a shashing success because after 18 years after being released it has less than 2% (and falling) of the OS market. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
