Migration Problems - SQL0535/SQL1088W

I'm having some migration problems.

On Friday, I upgraded from DB2 7.2 (FP9) to DB2 8.2 (FP7), then applied
Fixpack 8. I'm running Windows XP.

My migrations did not work and I am trying to fix them manually. The
Control Center gives me SQL0535 for some of the databases and SQL1039C for
the others. I'll describe the SQL0535 problems in this note and make a
separate post for SQL1039C.

When I try to run MIGRATE DATABASE on the databases that didn't migrate,
the command returns SQL1088W (The database was created, but an error
occurred while binding the utilities. The utilities are not bound to the
database.). This gives the impression that the migration succeeded except
that the utilities won't work. In fact, I still get SQL0535 when I try to
view the database in the Control Center after the migration.

I thought that rebinding the utilities to the database might improve the
situation so I tried to run the bind command(s) recommended in the manual:

connect to OLD_CONT
bind @db2ubind.lst

Unfortunately, I get the SQL0535 again when I issue the connect. Naturally,
this prevents me from being able to bind the utilities. This reinforces my
impression that the database was NOT migrated.

What do I do now??

Small but important change to my post (and subject): The SQL0535 error
that I mentioned throughout the original version of this post should be
SQL5035N! Sorry, for the confusion!! I've changed the subject and have

Running UDB V7 FP10a and 8.1 .4 on Windows 2000. Did full offline backups of three V7 databases. Restored two databases to V8 instance successfully. Third restore ended with: SQL2517W The restored database was migrated to the current release. Migration returned sqlcode "1088" and tokens "C:\IBM\SQLLIB\bnd\db2schema.bnd".

Hi, I'm a developer for a software application vendor, and our application makes use of a customer-maintained Oracle 8i/9i database. We've had a customer request to support DB2 database, and I'm looking into the feasibility of migration. Our application runs on NT Server and, the DB2 database would be in some cases on a separate AIX machine, in other cases on an AS/400. There are two problems we are running into, both relating to our...

Company is planning a Sybase to UDB migration that is projected to take 1 year. During that long period of time any Code Freeze put into place would impact our users (we normally release code changes once a month). Any suggestions on how to manage a partial code freeze while under going a major migration like this one?

We have a fairly big size ASP.NET web application that was written VB.NET. We are in the process converting the web project. We used the migration wizard included in VS 2005. I followed step by step guide outlined in here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/reference/migration/upgrade/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnaspp/html/webprojectsvs05.asp. I was able to convert the project without any problem. Compiling and building them is...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
