UDB 8.x FP8 Windows (XP-SP2)

One of our demonstration systems has just started to produce the
following error during startup. We can't interpret this ourselves, can
anyone give us a clue what we've broken?

PID : 3496 TID : 3504 PROC : db2syscs.exe

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, common communication, sqlccGetIPCs, probe:20
RETCODE : ZRC=0x870F0002=-2029060094=SQLO _BPSE "Debug logic error detected"
DIA8501C A buffer pool logic error has occurred.

Thanks for reading this and for any help offered!

If you are entitled to IBM support, call them about this.

fyi, I've passed this along to a developer who made a change in this
area in the fp8 timeframe too...will let you know if this is some sort
of config issue.

Hi Ed,

When you say "during startup" do you mean when the machine is rebooted
or when you try to start DB2? If this is during the reboot then are you
able to start the database afterwards? If not, are you able to start
the database at all? Would it be possible for you to get a trace of the
problem and send it to me at galewis@---nospam---ca.ibm.com?

Hi all, I noticed that the "dead keys"* mechanism (XPSP2 NL, keyboard map US, input language Dutch) doesn't work when running the pyHooks (python 241) example. Instead of ö ("o) I immediately get ""o. If I close the pyHooks example the expected behavior returns. Is there a way how I can get both working at the same time?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
