dms management

I have many DMS tablespaces which are filling up fast. Is there a way
to add, file containers automatically to those tablespaces? Or does
this require a perl or korn shell script to inspect the output of
"list tablespaces show detail" and use "alter tablespace .... " DDL?
Please help.
Thanks,
Yasaswi

You could automate that by turning the alerts on (tablespace
utilization), and activate action to run a script which add's
containers.

It's self explaining if you look in health monitor. Hope the version
of the DB2 you use supports it.

Hi Visu:
I understand everything you said, except what does, "and activate
action to run a script which add's containers". Are you saying that I
have to write a Perl, or Korn shell script and activate it? Or is
there an in build mechanism in the "Health Monitor" to take care of
this matter? Please explain.
Thanks,
Yasaswi

You have to right a script that you should store using the Task Center.
The script can either add a new container or if you want to
extend/resize one, some or all the containers. Look at the alter
tablespace command.
Extending/resizing containers is preferable, gicen you have the
disk/file system space as you will generally get away from having to get
the rebalancer to launch, which happens wwhen you add a container.
Once you have the script, on the CC, select the tablespace you are
concerned with, RB click to get the drop down and choose Manage Storage.
This will lead you toset the rules for warnings and alarms on space
utilization and there you can choose to action the script you wrote.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
