rownumber() over - which versions support this

CT
I am using DB2 V7 on Z/OS. I am not sure if this version of DB2
supports this function. Can someone please comment whether they have
used this function in such environment??

What version of DB2 first supported this function?

Thanks

I don't think row_number() is supported yet in DB2 for zOS.
IIRC row_number(), along with other OLAP fucntiosn was first introduced
in DB2 V7.1 for LUW.

Cheers

Hi, using ROWNUMBER() is affecting the plan of a view very badly... is there a way of writing the following view to ensure rownumber() is done as the last thing done? i.e after the calling predicates have been applied to a_cte e.g I have rewritten the view as follows using a CTE, trying to

After reading and experiencing the phenomenon of installing MS Office 2000 on a system that already has MS Office 97, or for that matter just Access 97 Runtime, I saw the ugliness that ensues. If one elects the standard installation, then Office 2000 deletes a large percentage of the older files. Of course, if one happens to choose Custom installation and elects not to uninstall prior versions, then things are happier. Yes, the archives...

If one is developing a .NET application, how can I develop an application that uses COM automation that targets multiple versions of Word? For example, the signature for the Document.Open method is different from version 9 to version 11 (and I'm sure there are other variations as well), and I'm wondering if there's some easy way to deal with it. At present I'm only concerned with supporting 9-11 (i.e. Word 2000, XP, and 2003), though I'd...

Yes In SQL2000 , Row_Number() function will not work as in SQL2005. But, we can use the IDENTITY(INT,1,1) function but it requires a temporary table to which it stores the data and in View does'nt Support Temporary tables. what I did is, I created a function which returns a table and in that table I have but 1 Identity field with AutoIncrement... Sample Code **************** ALTER FUNCTION dbo.UF_GetName() RETURNS @Temp_tbl TABLE ( ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
