windows CLASSPATH in a Java UDF

I am writing Java user defined functions running in DB2 8 on Windows XP.

For some reason the Windows system environment CLASSPATH is not being
passed to my Java UDF (i.e. when I println the java.class.path property,
I get a different CLASSPATH). Can anyone please help? How do I set
the CLASSPATH for a Java UDF being executed?

DB2 looks at the environment variable and adds a few things in front of the
existing class path.

Could you possibly give more details on what you see in the UDF, how the
environment variable is set, when you set it and when you start DB2?
