SuSE "Partner" Program

we've sold a few suse and redhat solutions with ibm data management software
recently (60% margin from ibm on new licences - thanks very much ibm!). we
thought about becoming suse partners, in solidarity with our fellow
europeans. 1600 euros (or us dollars) to join the partner program seems a
bit steep though :-((

even ibm don't fleece you for that much (until you discover you can't do
anything without the us$2000 "value" pack :-)))

what do others think?

Does becoming a partner allow you to see 'OEM' versions of SuSE Linux? Just
curious because I also was thinking of soliciting the idea of selling Linux
boxes preloaded with SuSE Linux to a friend who owns a computer store. As long
as SuSE has support for the software, he will support the hardware. But if we
can get SuSE to give us a break on the cost, then that'd help bring the price
down quite a bit.

Just curious if this is what you guys plan on doing as well.

Later,

Alex.

It's free anyway.
You just pay for the support options.

Check out this link:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...e=19&dept=3944

If the URL is mangled beyond recognition, try this:

1. http://www.walmart.com
2. Search Electronics for Microtel
3. Look at the right side of the page, "May we also suggest..."

They are sold out on this item.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
