Access database

1 New Member
I need someone who can help me to show steps
1-how to archive records in access.
2- how to open a form simply by clicking on the record instead of going to form section
3-when i press enter to type a sentence in comment box it goes to next record. How to stop that.
Thanks

Hi: I am URGENTLY in need of some book or web site OR tool that will help me integrate a relatively simple access application into a web page or pages. This is a time recording system (by project), and I would be more than wiling to pull the updated database down from the Host using FTP on a monthly basis. Its just that I need to understand how to set it up on the web site itself. The Host supports SQL. Any direction you can give would...

I'm new to this game. I can find my way around C# without any trouble, and I've used Access, a little bit, in the past. Now a friend wants an application of mine to read from his Access database. He's sent me the ..mdb file and a username and password, also an .mdw security file, and I've tried to connect to it, using a couple of sample programs I found on the web. Here's the critical code (<path>, <user>, and <password> of course...

Hi -- we are a small manufacturing looking for a multi-user database to take customer orders (nothing too complicated, with 3 users total). We think we should be using Access, but are wondering what alternatives there are. It has been recommended to us to use ASP.net and SQL instead, with the reasoning that: 1) Access is likely to go obsolete at some point 2) It will be more stable Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

I have a user that is somehow managing to open multiple copies of a single Access database. We are using Access 2003 and everything I have tried makes it IMPOSSIBLE to open the same database more than once. This database runs code on the execution to look into a master database for new changes and will update the user's database accordingly. I think I have narrowed it down to when the user is being updated, she runs into this issue. I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
