How to extract binary file(firmware) from RabbitCore® RCM4000 Series

Good Morning, this is Pedro Salazar O.

I would like to know if there is any utility or option to extract the binary file from the RabbitCore® RCM4000 Series - http://www.digi.com/products/wireless-wired-embedded-solutions/solutions-on-module/rabbitcore/rcm4000

My problem is that one of my 5 boards got damaged, I have lost the binary file that was recorded 2 years ago. I need to recover a binary file included in any of other 4 good boards and load it in any new RCM4000 module.

Thank you in advance.

I'm not aware of a way to pull a firmware from a card, short of reverse-engineering it, which wouldn't actually be pulling it...

It looks like the fw files, as well as development kit, are available on the page you linked to and doing that would be subverting the licensing agreement of the software, and a violation of the law.

The problem is that the company that developed and wrote the bin file for my application does not want to provide it to me for free after 4 years. For years ago, I paid $1500 USD to that company for the service, but right one of rabit board is damaged and I need to write the same developed code to a new rabbit board but they want me to pay again.

That is the reason I would like to know how to extract the bin file written by the user.

I´ll apprecite any help from you.
