Need a static page but want to use dynamic calls within

For some reasons I want to keep my index page as index.html but it has some dynamic calls made to other functions and files (such as RSS implementation).

Can I just maintain the extension as HTML and not CFM?

thanks

You could do if you use Ajax (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) - basically a means of getting data from the server without refreshing the page. You could also use iframes.
