administrator, I got an error message:Application server error, Internet server
error 500.

Which version of Coldfusion have you downloaded?
I am using coldfusionMX and when I download colfusion7, it does give the same error: application server error500.
Once I did downloaded coldfusion5, 6, and 7, and it did worked.
