Hello,

I'm sure uttara is a hindi word (as wikipedia link says). Imo, OP is referring to Uttara InfoSolution. It appears that they offer courses for Java etc.
I don't know if anyone from India here on bytes had done a course from Uttara (not me either). Take a few classes and come back here and consult with experts in C/Unix forum. Tell us about compiler, OS and books they are using. Generally, if they are using a good unix, standards compliant C compiler and nice books....then you can continue with the course. Also, get involved in C and Unix forum here so that you will know what is good.
