Whats the main work of a programmer in large companies in the world?

P: 1
I'm from Russia. At the moment I am studying at the Faculty of Applied Informatics. At programming lessons we write programs for solving some tasks. For example, the construction of mathematical models or graphs, work with one-dimensional and multidimensional arrays and simple databases. I donít think Google wants to see me writing code to calculate the number of ways to get 20 out of 7. Should I worry about the fact that when I come to work, I will meet a very difficult tasks compared to what I am doing now.
