Well, before assessing various types of career paths you could ask yourself one simple question - “What would I enjoy doing in life? OR What is my passion which could also become my career ?”. Ask this question to yourself and whatever you feel or love doing, try making it your profession and you will be happy and satisfied in life (at least in terms of the career you choose). Same choice would eventually lead to your success since you have chosen to do something that you naturally love doing. It may sound ridicules in some cases, but you may try and align your career (also considering the area of your qualification) accordingly.
I won't comment on a bank PO job since I know very little about this job.
Coming to the “Software job”, which could branch out into various sub categories like (but not limited to) software programmer / coder / developer, software engineer, Mobile app developer, Database administrator (DBA), tester, QA tester, software / solutions architect, software administrator, software security expert, ethical hacker, etc.
Each of the above mentioned job may be further catagorised based on specialisation, for eg. a software developers could be specialists in one or many technologies like C#, C++, Java, .Net, Python, etc.
