Has gcc `-ftrapv' ever worked?

Has `-ftravp' instruction in gcc ever worked for someone? I think it's fundamentally broken. Check this line:

unsigned us = INT_MAX + 1;

It causes arithmetic signed int overflow which is undefined behavior in C. However, gcc doesn't send SIGARBT signal to this program.

But clang does - it prints ``clang -ftrapv main.c''.
