can we declare a multidimensional array without providing size to it?

I need a multidimensional array and it should be declared without giving size to it.will it be possible? if so..please share your knowledge.

I assume you want to set the array size at run-time.
Are you using C or C++?

An array is just a way to view allocated memory.

Read this: http://bytes.com/topic/c/insights/77...rrays-revealed and look at the last example.

So your answer is yes you can but you better be sure your array fits inside your allocaton.
