Measure time elapsed

How can I measure the time elapsed after running a specific
command?

Your operating system will have a sysem call to get the system time. So just clock he system before and after your command. If the elased time is short, you might execute your command in a loop 1000, 10,000 times and then get the system time before and after the loop. Then divide by the number of executions.
