connect gps logger by serial port

P: 1
Dear Sir,

NEW challenge for you .

I have a gps logger which store the gps data into its internal memory. The gps is 747Pro model. It is based on mtk chipset MT3301 .
I have a description file for the data format and the communication protocol and how to send commands to the logger to get data .
this file is present at the following website L

I had mad a application using serial port communication .When I Opened the COM3 , the device send the GPS location to the serial port .
Now , I want to download data from the gps logger , but I can not. I first tried to stop the logger from sending the location to the pc so as to download the data , but I failed , the command I sent to the unit was is described into the pdf file "$PMTK182,5*<CHK><CR><LF>" , but no thing happens , the unit still send signal ,
Also, I do not know how to download data from the unit.

the pdf file contains at the last few pages a sample C++ code to connect to the unit . and set its prarameters.

How to do this ?.

So , I need to make a C# or application that can download data from the gps logger . and to set its configuration parameters .

Thanks ,
