Multibyte character font In Windows.

P: 1,059
I have doubt to explain my Question clearly. But I will try.
And I am asking this question cause I need the answer from the point of view of Programming.

The issue is about Fonts.

A Simple Example:
When I try to write Bengali in NotePad++ I can see the text clearly. No broken text or anything.
If I try to add Japanese it work fine too(I mean in the same file). The file is a text file(UTF-8 formatted, not rich text or document file). So It is clear that for both Bengali and Japanese all character has distinct Binary Code Value.

But to get this result I needed to Install Bengali font. here is my question. How is it possible. If Bengali font is not installed i cant see Bengali. And when I install a Bengali font in my system it clearly create a new font space in the fonts directory. its not overloading or rewriting. So it can be said that each files are getting installed separately.

How this is happening? How OS managing this files?

Please let me know.
Best Regards,
