config file

Hi,

I have problem with configuration some member variables in a hierachical calss program.

when i configure all required variables in the config file, how can i access the desired variable from the child class constructor.

class child
{
child(); // construtor

int a; // member variable
};

child::child()
{
configure_foo(&a, "a");
}

//config.file

parent.child.a = 1;

where i should implement the function configure_foo(int a, string st) to get access on it from each class and how can i read from the desired value from config.file through calling this function.

Just read your config file and assign the int return to your class variable:

child::child()
{
    a = ReadConfigFile();
}

You are not going to be able to call function passing in the address of a member variable.

but, i still have some problem with understanding your suggestion....

So,

1- how can i implement the ReadConfigFile() ?

2- which library can i use to implement it?

3- is it so right to access the member variable in the ReadConfigFile() as the following?
Parent.Child.Subchild.Member_variable =4.

i appriciate your help so much..
